Description
Eight bakery cases for one corner of the board. Each is a single 1U keycap with a hand-finished top: egg yolk pastry, cracked pastry, pineapple bun, salt bread, donut, hot dog, fried egg and a red bean butter bun. Pick one, or build a row.
The eight cases
The set runs from savoury to sweet. Egg yolk pastry is the pale dome with a yolk-orange top and black sesame. Cracked pastry wears a white icing cross over a dark centre. Pineapple bun has the scored lattice. Salt bread is the smooth roll with a single split. Donut is a glazed ring with sprinkles, hot dog is a split bun with two sausages and a pink pick, fried egg sits on a round bun, and the red bean butter bun closes the row.
How it sits
The bread is sculpted on top of a standard 1U cap, so it goes where a normal 1U goes: Esc, the top-left corner, a spare key on a macro pad, or the gap between the arrows and the number pad. It mounts on an MX-style stem.
What it is not is a key you hammer all day. The sculpted top sits well above the cap face, which is the point of it, and also the reason it belongs on a key you press now and then.
Hand-made, piece to piece
Every piece is finished by hand, so the glaze, the sesame and the toast shadow move a little from one to the next. Two Egg Yolk Pastries will not be twins. That is the nature of the thing, not a defect.

1U footprint, MX-style stem. A non-standard stem or a very low profile board will not take it.

Before you order
- One keycap per order. The price is per piece, so the whole bakery is eight orders.
- It sits tall. A hard cover will not close over the board while it is fitted.
- Colour moves with the light. Warm indoor light pushes the toast tones orange, daylight pulls them back to cream.
- Keycaps only. No keyboard, no cable, no case.
Keycaps only. The keyboards, cables and props in the photographs are not included.
